Who knew an introduction to Robin would change both our lives for the better? Writing a book is a journey I have been sharing with you. Therefore, if you have been a regular reader of my blog posts, you know I wrote a book on investment real estate.
Not Your Cup of Tea
Investment real estate may not be your financial portfolio’s cup of tea. However, you are reading my blog posts because you might have a book in you trying to escape. I appreciate you following my writing adventure.
Recently a poll was conducted to see how many people thought they had a book inside them they would love to write. Eighty-one percent of folks said they wanted to write a book; wow!
However, in North America, only one percent of the population ever writes a book.
Sharing book writing tips every chance I get is one of my missions, and Robin supplied me with the inspiration to share these ideas.
Robin Who?
She is my book editor. In addition, she has become an important resource in my author’s toolbox.
For instance, you may have heard the saying, ” When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”
The goal is to come into your life as your investment real estate coach or teacher.
What happened for Robin and I is called Karma. We came into each other’s lives, and two major life-changing things happened.
First, my book on investment real estate written, it is important you have a great editor. It also does not hurt when they have an interest in your content.

“I have some good news as well: I am now the proud owner of my very first investment real estate property! I was given the OK today and got possession on July 7.
Mom and her partner will be renting the upstairs from me, and I’ll live on the ground floor (which they can operate as an Airbnb after Covid when I’m overseas). It’s an ideal situation.
Although I had a small seed of an idea around purchasing real estate for my mom, it wouldn’t have happened without the many hours spent with your book. So, thanks for that.
The appraisal surprised me, too: It actually came in slightly over the value I offered. In a real estate market like what we see in BC, where there are bidding wars for nearly every property, I got very lucky.
So there you go. Your book is changing lives before it’s even published!
