How do I know You can Write a Book?

Because I wrote a book, above all, I don’t feel I am any more remarkable than anyone else.

The Birth of My Book Through the Trimesters

If you have been following my book writing journey through my recent blog posts, you know I have been talking about the trimesters of a non-fiction book.  In addition, the trimesters have given you a glimpse into how you can write a non-fiction book.

The first trimester is all about the conception of the book. I described a big difference between the idea of a book. Therefore, writing many words for a book to realize there is no conception can be a little discouraging.

You have realized there is no life in your words. Why?

My intentions were rock solid, but many of my words had no life to them.  How do I bring my words to life?

Clients to the rescue; Asked to Step it Up

I am working with investment real estate clients. However, I was not clear enough in my content with them.  These folks had me step up and provide them with investment real estate content in a manner that helps them succeed.

I developed a workbook and planning guide, and thanks to clients and an editor, I was encouraged to write my book.

Beta Readers, Who? You Need The Eyes of an Owl

Many authors are encouraged to find beta readers.  In addition, these beta readers are asked to read a part or all of your work to ensure you are on track with your subject matter.

I have been working with various clients for over a decade, and these folks have been my beta group as I developed my investment real estate content.

Have you ever thought of your clientele as your beta team? Therefore, if you have mid to long-term clients, you must have great content, practices, or processes, or your clients would not stick it out with you.  Have you asked your clients why they are sticking with you? In other words, what practices and content resonate with them?

Having coaching clients in your field can be eye-opening and encouraging.  These folks are paying for your service; therefore, they are expecting you to deliver the goods.

I was lucky to recognize that working with existing clientele can be your beta process. Therefore if you listen to your customers and make adjustments, you can use this opportunity to your advantage.

In addition, have you realized you have developed content for a broader base of people to use and succeed?

I love working one-on-one or with couples to purchase their first investment real estate property; however, using my content to write a book allows me to reach many more people.

Next Steps, Second Trimester

You can’t be a Master of None. You need to niche down and deliver clarity for your readers and clients.

Put in your 10,000 hours; if you don’t, people can read right through you. Similarly, if you don’t have expertise and faith, how can you deliver the goods?

It would be best to put in quality time, not quantity, do your research, and know you will always need a team.

Editor and Editing, Very Interesting!

Part of your team is an editor and editing software; in addition, I described the main type of editors and the type of software to use, free or paid version, in detail. (Free and Paid Version of editing software I use is Grammarly)

Therefore, don’t be afraid to view your words through different lenses.

Advance Review Copy Reader

I talk about the importance of a team, and I reached out to several groups to find folks to be advanced review copy readers of my book.

My blog posts are a great way to find advanced review copy readers.  Asking experts in the investment real estate field to read my book in advance of my August 19, 2021 book launch date is another great way to find advance copy readers. You would be surprised how many experts are generous with their time.

The feedback from my advance review copy readers has been incredible, and I will dedicate a blog post to this experience soon.

This morning I received another great review; this Advance Review Copy Reader said, “The bonus for me was learning about “goal-directed thinking”; in addition, the steps that are required to move from a wish to a reality.”

Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP)

It is easy to beat up the Big Guy; however, I love what Amazon has done for self-publishing.

To bring my book to life has been made much simpler with KDP; therefore, my experience has been very fulfilling.  I would suggest you use a coaching service to understand the services of KDP; for instance, what will work for you.

I would recommend Carla King and her Self-Publishing Boot Camp. ( There is some insightful information in her courses regarding KDP and how to get maximum use from the KDP service.

Amazon Author Page

Use your editor to help you edit the content for your Amazon Author Page.  However, do not use this service until your editor has finished the last edit of your book.  In other words, your editor, by that time, will know you intimately as a writer and be able to help you draw out your best material for your Amazon Author Page. How the Tale of Two Lives – Changing Each Others Belief, Really Amazing
