Dial Into WIIFM; What’s In It For Me?
WIIFM, What’s In It For Me, sounds like a radio call signal.
For instance, are you listening to your favorite podcast or reading your favorite blog post to add value to your life and turn what you have heard or read into an opportunity?
Most people don’t search for a website; for instance, they search for an area of interest or a word, and the search engines do the rest.
Once people find you, your message will interest them within seconds, or they are moving on.
I appreciate your time, and if you are willing to continue to read my blog, WIIFM?
My focus is to get you to consider adding investment real estate to your financial portfolio. But unfortunately, this sentence might stop you right in your tracks. However, before you stop reading, are you considering investing some of your hard-earned cash but don’t know how to start and what to invest in?
I will not disguise that I coach folks on adding investment real estate to their portfolio. However, before I start to work with people, I get them to go through the mechanics of knowing if they are ready to invest.
In my free online course: Investing 101; How to Get Your Money and Time to Deliver a Great Return, A Beginner’s Course and Guide to Becoming A First-Time Investor. I outline how to get you in the position to know if you and your current financial situation will be able to handle investing and if a lender sees you as credit-worthy to lend you funds to invest.
Most of us, the moment we start working, become investors. How? Our employer must deduct funds from our pay cheque and submit them to the government; part of these deductions are for old age security or a government-run pension program. You get no say in how these funds get invested.
Most of us would like to have some control over our earnings; that is why I created the free online course Investing 101.
One More Reason to Keep Reading
This blog post is my most-read post, and I am constantly revising the content in this blog post. Why?
My goal is to improve my website, blogs, and value, getting you to add investment real estate to your financial portfolio, which leads me to write a book.
Use Your Social Media Presence to Hold Your Feet to the Fire?
Moreover, my editor mentioned that having a social media presence in today’s digital world helps you develop your writing skills and holds your feet to the fire to improve your writing technique.
For example, writing blog posts and magazine articles makes one realize a book is possible.
“Everyone has at least one book and wants to get it out.”
Therefore, I wanted to share my knowledge of writing a book.
Developing Attributes to Bringing Your Book to Life
Developing a resource-rich website and writing a book are ways to share the experiences, processes, methods, and procedures I have learned over the last twenty-plus years of investment real estate investing.
Many authors create an author website after they write their book. I had a business website and didn’t consider making an author’s website. However, I belong to a diverse group of writers, and they convinced me to register an author domain. My name is pretty common, but believe it or not, I was able to register wrickharris.com; pretty cool.
If you don’t have a business website or website, register your author’s name in a domain and create a website, even if you start with a blog only. Then, start capturing your words and send them out to the world.
Part of the Mission Accomplished; Book Written
If you look at the original date I published this blog post, it was June 14, 2018. Today is three years later, and it gives me great pleasure to announce my book is now available through Amazon Preorder. You can go to Amazon.com and either type in my name W. Rick Harris or start typing in the title of my book, 31 Days to Purchasing and Renting Your First Investment Real Estate Property, in the search bar.
Many folks have helped me along the way. Similarly, it is my pleasure to give back.
All of us have an area of expertise, and sharing our knowledge with the world has never been easier.
Don’t Give Up – Push-On
For many of us, our area of expertise may have nothing to do with our education or job; for instance, you may have a hobby, a personal interest, or a passion, and you’re very good at this area of your life; you want to share.
It took over three years to complete my book, and I could not be more excited. You can do the same thing, above all, write your book. The best time to start is now.
Please give me a few more minutes and read my take on prosperity. I am not saying my interest is for you; however, sharing a financial alternative to your life you can control is a pretty remarkable feeling.
Blogging is Sharing Knowledge in Action; Giving You Value
Writing a blog helps me in my journey to writing an investment real estate book.
People write hundreds and perhaps thousands of blogs about their passion for sharing. However, they never return to the blogs they wrote and update them.
As the author of this blog, I take personal responsibility for keeping my blog posts as current as possible. The blogging industry talks about having your content be Evergreen.” Evergreen is content people find long after it has been posted or written and is as relevant today as yesterday. So if you were reading this blog post in 2021, thank you.
My Area of Interest and Expertise; WIIFM?
My website is all about investment real estate and sharing my belief that investment real estate is a remarkable tool to support your financial prosperity.
Building a website with my blog posts is a way to find and share my voice—a Happy Place to house investment real estate content and develop a social media reach.
Say Hi to Happy Place
WIIFM? Will You Return or Move On to a Different Website?
If I am going to get you to return to my website regularly, I need to answer this fundamental question; “What’s In It For You?”
Having more than a fleeting interest in investment real estate as a part of your financial foundation is one thing. Besides, you may also have a strong interest in building a small business and entrepreneurship. These three areas are where my passion lies.
You might read my blog posts, listen to my podcast shows, and read my investment real estate magazine articles. Besides, you might decide to model my methods to build out your investment real estate interest and business and hone your entrepreneurial spirit.
Please stay as long as you like and ask me anything you would like about developing your area of expertise; in other words, how can I help?
Investment real estate is not for everyone; not getting value.
If you don’t find interest in my blog, I hope to leave you with at least two thoughts:
- What is your passion? (know there is a ton of free resources on the world wide web for you to learn more and pursue your love)
- Why are you going to invest in your life’s passion? Are you going to treat your passion as a hobby or find a way of monetizing it?
Content; and Adding More Value
Purchasing investment real estate requires you to be an entrepreneur and a small business owner. To give you more investment real estate insight on using multiple social media formats, blogging, podcasts, written articles, website content, and more.
Blog posts focus on the area of investment real estate and include information on building a strong financial foundation, unlocking sustainable wealth, and creating a living legacy.
Podcasts focus on the field of Entrepreneurship and Small Business through investment real estate.
Guest podcasts have been a little more broad-based in their approach, still in investment real estate, entrepreneurship, and small business.
Though my goal is to focus on all these elements and bring;
“Prosperity to All Aspects of Your Life Forever.”
An orchestra feels its success through audience applause; therefore, applause is the orchestra’s feedback regarding its performance.
I built a successful sales and marketing career. In addition, one of my go-to pieces of advice to build a successful sales force was:
” If you don’t ask for the order, you will never receive the sale.”
Could you give me feedback on any aspect of my website, blog, podcast, or articles? Please let me know what I can do to provide you with value on your journey to purchase your first investment real estate property.
