WIIFM; What’s In It For Me; Are You Getting Value?
Dial Into WIIFM; What’s In It For Me?
Building a website is never an easy task; having a place to voice your opinion or put your written words out into the world can be a strong incentive.
Most people don’t search for a website; they search for an area of interest or a word, and the search engines do the rest.
Once people find you, they have to like what they hear or see?
If you are reading this blog post, I appreciate your time, and if you get a chance, I would be curious.
Why?
Why are you reading this post; is it the title, the graphics, or the value of this blog?
Why did I write this blog post?
Why did I develop a website?
Selfish Reason
My reason is simple.
I am writing a book, and my editor told me if I didn’t have a social media presence in today’s digital world, the chance of any publisher showing interest in publishing my book was slim to none.
There is a saying, “Everyone has at least one book in them, and they want to get it out.”
If I share my journey and one person puts pen to paper or starts typing their words for others to read some, awesome.
I also find writing therapeutic and a great way to realize my inner thoughts.
Is this you? Are there words inside of you that want to escape?
No, I am not going to teach you how to write a book or develop a website. There are plenty of people out there peddling write a book or build website products.
I have had many folks help me along the way without putting their hand in my back pocket; feels kind to share.
I am sharing my journey on how to get a book published, and it is not like the “Good, Old Days.”
All of us have an area of expertise, and if we could only find a way to release our knowledge on the written page.
Your area of expertise may have nothing to do with your education or job. You may have a hobby, a personal interest or a passion, and you’re very good at this area of your life; you want to share.
Please give me a few more minutes and read my take on prosperity. I am not saying my area of expertise is for you.
Blogging is Training in Action – Words to Paper, Okay the World Wide Web
Writing a blog can be your ticket to writing a book. I wrote the first version of this blog on June 14, 2018. The neat thing about blogging is you can return to your blog as often as you like and revise the blog.
Why am I returning and updating this blog?
First, it is my most read blog post, and it is what the industry calls “Evergreen.” Evergreen is content people find long after it has been posted or written and is as relevant today as yesterday.
The lesson for me is not to post or write and then never return to my thoughts.
If folks are finding me day after day, week after week, month after month, you get the idea. Why not refresh and make the content better for future readers. (There is a lesson in these words somewhere)
My Area of Interest and Expertise
My website is all about investment real estate and sharing my belief that investment real estate is a remarkable investment tool to support your financial prosperity.
Building a website is a way to find my voice and house investment real estate content and develop a social media reach.
Why come back and read any of my blog posts, listen to any of my podcasts or guest podcasts, read any of the magazine articles I have written in the area of investment real estate?
Releasing my passion might trigger getting you to publish something about your first love or passion and create a blog post.
My education and career had nothing to do with my interest and passion for investment real estate.
Will You Return or Move On to a Different Website?
If I am going to get you to return to my website regularly, I need to answer this fundamental question; “What’s In It For You?”
You may have more than a fleeting interest regarding investment real estate as a part of your financial foundation.
You might read my blog posts, listen to my podcast shows, read my investment real estate magazine articles and decide you might model my methods to build out your passion.
Please stay as long as you like and ask me anything you would like about developing your area of expertise.
My Passion is Investment Real Estate, and if you decide to keep reading my blog posts, you honour me.
Maybe I can get you to believe investment real estate will add prosperity to your life. When it comes to building your wealth, see if the shoe fits.
Investment real estate is not for everyone; my challenge is to have prosperity forever; you need to invest.
If you leave this blog never to return, my hope is you have at least two thoughts:
- How are you going to write a book or a blog on your passion?
- Are you going to invest in your life’s well being from a financial perspective?
Content; and Adding More
Purchasing investment real estate requires you to be an entrepreneur and a small business owner.
I am an investment real estate investor, an entrepreneur and a small business owner.
I am also active in the real estate investment field of education, earning an REIA certification; as a Real Estate Investment Advisor.
Can you find an organization in your field of passion and build some credentials?
My blog posts focus on the area of investment real estate, which includes information on building a strong financial foundation, unlocking sustainable wealth and creating a living legacy.
My podcasts focus on the field of Entrepreneurship and Small Business through investment real estate.
My guest podcasts have been a little more broad-based in their approach, still in the area of investment real estate, entrepreneurship and small business.
Through my blog, podcast, magazine articles and other website content, my goal is to focus on all these elements and bring;
“Prosperity to All Aspects of Your Life Forever.”
An orchestra knows their success through audience applause; applause is the orchestra’s feedback regarding their performance.
I built a successful sales and marketing career, and one of my go-to pieces of advice to build a successful sales career was:
” If you don’t ask for the order, you will never receive the sale.”
Could you give me feedback on any aspect of my website, blog, podcast or articles and let me know what I could do to provide you with value on your journey to purchase your first investment real estate property.
Warmest Appreciation,
Rick
